Put the Fun in Funk: 4 week program
Put the Fun in Funk: 4 week program
Funk (noun): a state of undesirable emotions or feeling out of sorts.
When times are uncertain and there seems to be more bad than good in the world, it’s easy to get in a funk. It’s up to you to be intentional to get out of it and bring joy back in your life! Through a combination of strength workouts, healthy eating habits, and fun daily challenges, you’ll start having more FUN than FUNK in no time! I’ve partnered up with my best friend (also certified personal trainer, ex-Cirque de Soleil, soon-to-be registered dietician) to write this 4-week program. We have had so much fun putting together the workouts and challenges, and know you will too. Make sure to invite a friend to do it with you, and let’s put the fun back in funk together!
This 4-week program includes:
GOALS: you will set three goals to work towards
NUTRITION: we will educate you on the importance of each macronutrient (carbohydrates, fats and protein), portion sizes, how to set yourself up for success at the grocery store, and healthy habits to build on each week. In addition to the written information, there will be weekly Facebook Live “happy hours” to chat with us further about specific nutrition questions you may have.*
WORKOUTS: we will provide you with three strength workouts and one cardio workout to complete each week (at-home modifications included).
CHALLENGES: these daily challenges are intended to be small, but impactful ways to lift your spirits, such as “travel to Mexico”, watch your favorite movie, play with puppies, pay for the person behind you in the drive-through, bake for your neighbor, practice gratitude, and more to get us out of any funk we’re in and have some fun!
TRACKER: a goal setting sheet + challenge tracker to write out your goals, keep track of your healthy habits, check off your challenges, and plan your workouts.
This combination of building healthy habits, focusing on bringing joy back into your daily routine, accountability, strength training, “unplugged” active recovery days, etc. is meant to revive your minds, tone your body and lift your spirits!
